The Inkomati-Usuthu Catchment Management Agency (IUCMA) is dedicated to ensuring sufficient, equitable, and high-quality water resources in the Inkomati-Usuthu Water Management Area. With a focus on empowering stakeholders and promoting equal access to water, the agency manages the resources adaptively and collaboratively to achieve social, economic, and environmental justice. Derived from the National Water Act, the IUCMA carries out various functions such as advising on water resource management, developing a catchment management strategy, coordinating activities of water users, and addressing pollution incidents.
