Corporation for Public Deposits

The Corporation for Public Deposits (CPD) is a subsidiary of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) established in 1984. Operating under the Corporation for Public Deposits Act, the CPD accepts call deposits from the public sector and other depositors, investing them in short-term money-market instruments and special Treasury bills.
