Supreme Court of Appeal

The Supreme Court of Appeal is the second highest court in South Africa, except in certain labor and competition matters. As an appeal court, its jurisdiction primarily involves deciding appeals and related issues. While it has the power to address the constitutional validity of legislation or presidential conduct, such orders require a confirmation from the Constitutional Court. The Supreme Court of Appeal operates under the oversight of the Office of the Chief Justice.
