National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa (NPA)

The National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa (NPA) is entrusted with the crucial mission of ensuring justice for crime victims through impartial and unbiased prosecution. Working in partnership with their stakeholders and the public, the NPA is dedicated to both solving and preventing crime. As an entity operating under the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DoJ&CD), the NPA has the authority to initiate and conduct criminal proceedings on behalf of the state and to discontinue such proceedings when necessary.
