Designation General Worker
Remuneration R9 531.54 pm (excluding benefits)
Eligibility
  • Grade 8 educational qualification.
  • Basic cleaning and general housekeeping skills.
  • 1-2 years’ experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Selected individuals will be primarily responsible for the cleanliness of the assigned facility and its surrounding areas. Duties will also include the arrangement of venues and operation of cutting equipment and machinery.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Maintain a clean and hygienic facility at all times.
  2. Prepare facilities for groups using the centre’s timetable.

Competencies Required

  1. Knowledge of cleaning materials and chemicals.
  2. Recognise safety hazards and take precautionary measures.
  3. Proper handling and use of industrial equipment.
