Entry Level Administration Clerk At The Department of Agriculture

Role & Responsibilities

The position calls for several responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, general clerical support services, record management, registry updates, handling routine enquiries, making photocopies and sending or receiving facsimiles. You will be expected to distribute documents or packages as required, keep and maintain the component’s filing system, and type letters and other correspondence when required. Keeping and maintaining both the incoming and outgoing document registers are part of the responsibilities.

Additional Administrative Duties

  • Updating minutes translations
  • Providing supply chain clerical support within the component
  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders in relation to procurement of goods and services
  • Maintaining stock control of office stationery
  • Keeping and maintaining the asset register of the component
  • Providing personnel administration and clerical support services
  • Maintaining a leave register for the component
  • Keeping and maintaining personnel records in the component
  • Coordinating and arranging travelling and accommodation
  • Providing financial administration support services in the component
  • Capturing and updating expenditure of the component
