Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Requirement: A grade 12 certification and a Degree or National Diploma in Human Resource or Labour Relations are required.
  • Experience: Candidates must possess 2-3 years of experience in Labour Relations.
  • Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
  • Required Skills: The successful candidates should have knowledge of regulations, acts, practices, and policies related to Labour Relations, conflict resolution skills, good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. They also must be knowledgeable in key legislative prescripts regarding Labour Relations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Handling grievances, discipline, and abscondment cases in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Representing the employer during Conciliation and Arbitration proceedings.
  • Managing the functioning of staff relations and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Participating in the development of staff relations matters and identify training gaps. Ensuring the implementation of in-service training programs.
  • Conducting investigations and presiding over enquiries.
