About the Assmang Bursaries 2024
Assmang Limited, through the Assmang Beeshoek Iron Ore Mine located in the Northern Cape Province, provides financial assistance to students pursuing their studies in select fields. The bursary programme is designed for Grade 12 students planning to venture into tertiary education in 2024, and Degree/Diploma holders studying at accredited public universities or universities of technology. Regrettably, the bursary programme does not extend to post-graduate students.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Assmang Bursaries, candidates should exhibit certain attributes that mirror the company’s values. Candidates must provide proof of immediate financial need. The eligibility criteria to apply are listed below:
- Mid-year Grade 12 student/Matriculants with a Bachelor pass/University exemption in the final-year examination or proof of admission into a recognized South African university/university of technology
- Full-time enrolled university students with a sound academic record, averaging a B-symbol and a passing mark in all subjects
- South African citizen aged between 18-35 years
- Not a recipient of any bursary or financial assistance at the time of application
- Possession of outstanding academic background with valuable personal attributes
- Priority will be given to candidates from the Tsantsabane District, Northern Cape
