Here’s an exciting opportunity at Midas in Groblersdal! We’re seeking a diligent and dedicated General Worker to join our vibrant team. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include general tasks such as merchandising and receiving, among others.

Receiving Duties

As a General Worker, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the proper receiving process. Your tasks will include:

• Management of incoming goods – ensuring they are correctly located into bins. Inventory should be refreshed from bulk to pick locations, adhering to SOPs and regulations.
• Organization of warehouse areas – ensuring that new stock gets its bin location numbers.
• Making sure to keep track of bin updates, reporting and updating allocated stocks in new bin locations to the superior.
• Taking part in replenishment related activities.
• Performing Checks on every incoming goods shipment, in line with business requirements.

Picking Duties

Another key part of your duties will include picking orders. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Branch and customer orders must be picked quickly to ensure a fulfilment of order deadlines.
2. When stock in pick locations runs low, picking from bulk locations should be done to avoid breaking pack sizes – this should only serve as a backup strategy.
3. Ensure to follow all reasonable and legal instructions related to work as provided by the supervisor.
4. Comply with important rules to increase customer satisfaction.
5. Assist in inventory management processes.
6. Ensure everyday cleaning tasks are performed.
7. Carry out double checks to maintain customer satisfaction and prevent inventory loss.
8. Ensure the consistent meeting of standard operating targets.
