Job Opportunity: Safety and Security Constable / Traffic Officer (1/2/3)

Our Operational Coordination Department is looking to hire a dedicated and responsible Safety and Security Constable / Traffic Officer (positions 1/2/3). Requirements:

# Qualifications/Requirements
1 Completed Grade 12.
2 Valid Code B Driver’s License.
3 A Motor Cycle License is mandatory.
4 Registration as a Traffic Officer and possession of a National Department of Transport Basic Traffic Officer Qualification (RTMC).
5 Meet the terms for appointment as a Municipal Police member according to Regulation 11 of the Regulations for Municipal Police Services.
6 Proficient in computer skills.
7 Minimum of 1-year relevant experience.
8 Clean criminal record.
9 Ability to work 24-hour shifts and willingness to carry a firearm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforcing Traffic Regulations and By-Laws.
  • Aiding in reducing traffic congestion.
  • Maintaining public order by enforcing relevant laws.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the public and key stakeholders.
  • Providing training to existing staff and potential recruits at designated facilities.
  • Overseeing technology usage within the department.
