The Ideal Candidate
Do you have a Grade 12 qualification or higher? Have you ever volunteered in community development projects? If yes, CoGTA is looking for you. Prior experience in Community Development Work will provide you an added advantage.
Essential Skills and Knowledge Required
- Understanding of government operations.
- Cordial interpersonal skills, along with sensitivity towards the communities to serve.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to act with tact and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Once onboarded, you’ll be primarily responsible for bridging communities with government services. Your role will entail identifying community needs and communicating them to the government at various levels to enhance service delivery. Some of your key duties will include:
- Informing and assisting communities about accessing government services.
- Identifying the needs of communities and communicating these needs to relevant government bodies.
- Fostering networks and augmenting the initiatives of local governance structures for better service delivery.
- Regularly following up on issues and maintaining comprehensive reports on progress, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Keeping track of all services provided by government and the steps to avail those services.
