You will create accurate forecasts of what customers will want and manage inventory efficiently through the supply chain and store catalogues. Your work will follow clear guidelines to ensure everything runs smoothly and profitably.

Job Description

This position involves a variety of responsibilities to support the success of Woolworths’ new and expanding stores. Here are the key duties:

  • Maximize trading opportunities within product categories for new stores and extensions, while meeting specific key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Review performance reports against scorecards and develop strategies to improve results.
  • Manage projects for new store openings, modernizations, extensions, or closures to ensure they launch successfully.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, both inside and outside the company, to align goals and achieve targets for sales, product availability, and profitability in the Foods division.
  • Provide insights and influence replenishment processes and important inventory controls to keep stock levels optimal.
  • Offer input on product assortments and store layouts to boost sales speed and ensure profitable product availability.
  • Perform detailed reporting and analysis to enhance performance, while identifying risks and opportunities for future planning.
  • Build strong relationships with store teams to improve in-store processes and operations.
  • Continuously improve processes and ways of working to increase efficiency and establish sustainable best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of planning experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Experience working in stores is a plus.
  • A relevant degree in Retail or a business-related field is advantageous.
  • Travel will be required, and you may need to work weekends when necessary.
  • Computer literacy, with strong skills in Excel.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix structure, reporting to multiple leaders.
  • Valid Driver’s License is essential.
