The successful candidate will support and enable the delivery of the packaging component of Product and ranges by driving and managing adherence to milestone delivery with all members across the matrix.Responsibilities:– Input and plan packaging design and roll-out needs
– Drive and track adherence to timelines with all key stakeholders
– Participate in concept and supplier meetings– Ensure packaging complies with legislation
– Coordinate pre-prods and manage requirements
– Confirm and supply Dielines for Design Finalisation
– Track and drive adherence to timelines
– Assist with Legal trade mark search
– Collate information for RO and obtaining sign off– Input and responsibilities for artwork and pack copy roll-out
– Manage invoices against signed off quotes
– Ensure accuracy and usability with packaging printer
– Check Pack copy is completed to best practice– Organize ‘team sign off sessions’ as required
– Record keeping and time management of key stakeholders input
– Input required at printer stage
– Coordinate On press approval with print supplier and Print technologist
– Ensure barcodes scans and is approved
– Complete SKU on Opal
– Circulate the DF sessions agenda to ensure key stakeholders are kept informed
– Review current processes and make proposals to improve them
– Set up supplier meetings
– Send parcels to assist the packaging development process
– Organize packaging mock-up’s for strategic meetings– Provide electronic range overviews or hard copy reference of each range– Drive packaging reduction with packaging suppliers
– Collaborate with new and existing suppliers
– Recognize financial impact of decisions on the businessRequirements:– Relevant 3-year degree or diploma
– Basic understanding of printing processes and materials
– Understanding of design and print stages and timelines
– Understanding of costs involved and how to influence them– Knowledge of stores and retail environment
– Understanding of category packaging trends
– Excellent coordination and time management skills
– Excellent administrative and organizational skills– Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
– Strong service delivery mindset
– Problem-solving skills to find creative solutions
– Project and budget management skills (advantageous)
