Duties and Responsibilities
In this entry-level role, you will work under the supervision of a qualified shop technician. Your main tasks will include receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacements on Walmart’s equipment as per company guidelines. You will also identify needed parts and recommend the best repair solutions, while following all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Service Shop Technician III, your focus will be on preventative maintenance and repairs for a wide range of Walmart equipment, including tractors, trailers, road trucks, and shop tools. You will diagnose issues, maintain, repair, and replace major components such as advanced engine parts, driveline systems, HVAC units, and communication equipment.
You will make a positive impact by:
- Performing advanced axle alignments using digital tools on tractor-trailer tires
- Conducting electrical and wiring repairs on tractor and trailer light systems
- Repairing trailers, including lights, landing gear, interior panels, roofs, floors, doors, and threshold plates
- Providing preventative maintenance on tractor-trailer brake systems
- Carrying out 8-point inspections on yard and over-the-road tractors
- Being proficient with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) software, which will help you excel in this role

- 3 years of experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair, including advanced diagnostics

- Brake inspection qualified as defined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25
