The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Swiftly respond to fire alerts.
- Engage in emergency medical and hazardous material incidents.
- Test and maintain fire fighting and medical equipment.
- Perform administrative duties which includes preparing incident reports and tracking equipment defects.
- Care for and maintain all assets under the fire department.
- Conduct fire safety inspections.
- Adhere to all statutory legislations and Council policies/procedures/standards to guarantee optimum management of fire fighting.
- Ensure personal and public safety during fire incidents, striving to save lives and properties.
