Position Purpose
Drive student achievement through high expectations for academic growth and classroom culture. Deliver specialized Sign Language instruction while collaborating on integrated curriculum development for grades 10-12.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver face-to-face/distance Sign Language lessons
- Develop individualized learning plans with grade-level teams
- Conduct formative assessments and data analysis
- Lead character development sessions
- Implement behavior management strategies
- Participate in professional development programs
- Maintain parent communication and school community engagement
Requirements
- B.Ed/PGCE in Second Additional Language (SAL) – Sign Language
- SACE registration
- Fluency in South African Sign Language
- Clean criminal record
- 3-5 years high school teaching experience preferred
