1. Chief Town Planner
Directorate: Strategy, Economic Development and Planning

Salary Scale: R609,228 – R790,836 per annum (T14) plus benefits
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Town Planning (preferred) or equivalent
- Professional registration with SACPLAN
- 8+ years managerial experience in urban planning
- Expert knowledge of SPLUMA and MFMA regulations
- Valid EB driver’s license
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead urban planning and land use management functions
- Oversee implementation of Spatial Development Framework
- Manage municipal properties and building services
- Coordinate interdepartmental development projects
2. Manager: Building Services
Reference No: 2025/009
Salary Scale: R609,228 – R790,836 per annum (T14) plus benefits
Requirements:
- BArch/BTech in Architecture or equivalent (NQF 7)
- SACAP registration mandatory
- 5+ years municipal building control experience
- Thorough knowledge of National Building Regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage building plan approval processes
- Conduct site inspections and enforce regulations
- Lead team of building control officers
- Maintain compliance with construction standards
3. Manager: Properties

Salary Scale: R609,228 – R790,836 per annum (T14) plus benefits
Requirements:
- Advanced Diploma/Degree in Property Management
- 8+ years municipal property management experience
- Knowledge of MFMA and Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations
- SAPOA membership advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage municipal property portfolio
- Oversee land acquisition and disposal processes
- Develop strategic property frameworks
- Maintain updated municipal land audit
4. Electricity Distribution Manager

Salary Scale: R609,228 – R790,836 per annum (T14) plus benefits
Requirements:
- BEng/BSc Engineering (Electrical)
- Eligible for PrEng and GCC registration
- 8+ years power distribution experience
- Trade Test Certificate required
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical network operations
- Develop maintenance and risk mitigation plans
- Oversee electrification projects
- Ensure regulatory compliance
5. City Engineer: Roads & Stormwater

Salary Scale: R609,228 – R790,836 per annum (T14) plus benefits
Requirements:
- BEng Civil Engineering degree
- PrEng registration required
- 10+ years roads engineering experience
- Extensive project management background
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage road infrastructure projects
- Oversee stormwater drainage systems
- Develop maintenance programs
- Manage contractor relationships
