Position Overview
We’re seeking a qualified Electrician to maintain underground electrical systems and ensure safe equipment operation at our Kriel Colliery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on underground equipment
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns
- Maintain compliance with MHSA regulations
- Coordinate maintenance activities during shutdowns
- Train junior staff and perform standby duties
Requirements
- Electrical Trade Test Certificate
- Grade 12 with Maths & Science (External candidates: 4 relevant N2 subjects)
- 2+ years’ underground electrical experience
- Gas Testing & Flame Proof certification
- Valid EB driver’s license
- Physical fitness for underground work
