Position Overview
Lead daily implementation of engineering plans to maintain mining assets and infrastructure. Ensure machinery availability and team management to achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement safety protocols and maintain compliance with mining regulations
- Optimize equipment maintenance schedules
- Manage diesel equipment operations and hydraulic systems
- Oversake critical spare parts inventory
- Coordinate team of 15+ technical staff
Requirements
- N4 Technical Certificate + Trade Test/National Diploma in Engineering
- 4+ years as Engineering Foreman (2.9.2 appointment)
- MHSA Section 26.1 & 29.4 certifications
- Valid driver’s license + Certificate of Fitness

Locations: Multiple Colliery Sites (Mpumalanga & Free State)

Program Details
42-month development program focusing on mine environmental controls and strata management systems. Includes rotational assignments across operational departments.
Candidate Profile
- Recent graduates: BSc Mining Eng/Geology (Honors) or BTech equivalent
- Current Seriti employees: Production experience with safety certification
- Proficiency in MS Office + Mine Planning Software
Senior VOHE Officer
Location: Kriel Colliery, Mpumalanga

Core Functions
- Monitor compliance with OHS Act (No. 29 of 1996)
- Lead emergency preparedness programs
- Conduct exposure monitoring for airborne contaminants
Qualifications
- Grade 12/N3 Math & Science + Mine Environmental Control Certificate
