Job Description

The Associate Economic Statistician will play a key role in supporting the department’s work on economic data and analysis. This position focuses on using data science to improve how we handle and interpret economic information. The successful candidate will contribute to building better tools and insights for the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and updating data products with data science methods to help the department perform better statistical and economic analysis.
  • Using data science techniques to improve current economic indicators and create new ones.
