Position Overview
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Salary Range: R600,000 – R700,000 gross per annum
Experience Level: Junior (Minimum 2 years)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Project Management preferred)

Core Purpose
Coordinate and manage infrastructure variation projects and wayleave activities for Gautrain operations, ensuring technical compliance, stakeholder alignment, and successful project delivery from planning through final handover.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Provincial Variation Notices (PVNs) and Concessionaire Variation Notices (CVNs)
- Develop technical specifications, BOQs, and procurement documentation
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across maintenance, operations, and safety departments
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Wayleave Administration
- Assess third-party wayleave applications impacting Gautrain infrastructure
- Evaluate technical drawings and construction proposals for compliance
- Conduct site inspections and enforce control measures
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as primary liaison between internal teams and external authorities
- Manage communication with municipal entities and infrastructure partners
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Tech in Civil/Electrical Engineering or Project Management
- 5+ years infrastructure project coordination experience
- Proficiency in construction contracts (JBCC, NEC, GCC)
- Knowledge of railway operational environments (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license and site inspection readiness
