Senior Manager: Electro & Mechanical Services

Salary Range: R836,533.43 – R1,085,891.40 per annum (T17 Scale)
Minimum Requirements
- BEng/BSc (Eng)/BTech degree with Pr Eng/GCC registration eligibility
- 8+ years experience (5+ years in management)
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Proficiency in two Western Cape official languages
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic planning for electrical and mechanical service delivery
- Team leadership and performance management
- Infrastructure project oversight and contract management
- Budget preparation and financial control
- Compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations

Essential Qualifications
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Public Administration/Law/Management
- 5+ years senior management experience
- Comprehensive municipal legislation knowledge
- Valid driver’s license and language proficiency
- Minimum Competency Level certification (or willingness to obtain within 18 months)
Core Functions
- Strategic leadership of HR and administrative functions
- Corporate governance and risk management
- Organizational performance optimization
- Stakeholder engagement and council support
- Budget management up to R18 million
