Organizational Profile
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority operating under the Department of Higher Education and Training. We drive skills development across South Africa’s mining and minerals sector, including coal, gold, platinum, diamonds, cement production, and related services.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement national artisan development programs
- Manage RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) initiatives
- Oversee Artisan Centres of Specialisation
- Develop and manage annual budgets up to R18 million
- Coordinate skills development projects across 600+ mining companies
- Lead a team of 8 skills development specialists
Requirements
- NQF 7 qualification in HR/Education/Business Administration
- 8+ years ETD experience with 3 years at management level
- Proven track record in SETA program implementation
- Strong understanding of QCTO frameworks

- Monitor office budgets up to R2.5 million
Requirements
- Diploma in Office Administration (NQF 6)
- 3+ years executive support experience
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Valid driver’s license
