Position Overview

The Department of Traditional Affairs seeks an experienced Messenger/Driver to join our Facilities Management team. This vital role combines transportation logistics with administrative support, ensuring smooth operations for departmental activities.

Key Requirements

  • Grade 10 Certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 3)
  • Valid South African driver’s license
  • Minimum 5 years proven driving experience
  • Clean driving record with no serious violations
  • Physical fitness for loading/unloading materials
  • Basic vehicle maintenance skills

Core Responsibilities

  • Transport team members and official documents securely
  • Manage equipment/materials transportation
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and trip records
  • Identify and report vehicle maintenance needs
  • Follow maintenance schedules and safety protocols
  • Assist with general office support tasks as required
