Basic Salary per Annum plus Benefits: R228 321.00

Role Overview

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Admin Officer. This position involves supporting the organization by delivering efficient messenger and transport services. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations through reliable collection and delivery tasks, as well as providing transportation support when needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
  • Post-matric qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • A valid Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a driver.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collect and deliver incoming and outgoing mail to and from the post office.
  • Collect and deliver mail from various departments and institutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of physical addresses for other departments and organizations.
  • Transport officials as required.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
  • Perform ad hoc driver or administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Handle the receiving, recording, and movement of correspondence both internally and externally.

Important Notes

All appointments will be made in terms of the Public Protector Act. A 12-month probation period will apply, which may be extended to 18 months. Successful candidates will be required to sign a secrecy declaration form and a performance agreement within two months of accepting the position.

All successful candidates must undergo security clearance and vetting processes.
