For Matriculants Before 2008:

  • Grade 12 Certificate with minimum 25 points
  • English: E (Higher Grade) / D (Standard Grade)
  • Biology/Physical Science/Physiology: E/D
  • Mathematics: E/D

National Senior Certificate (2008 Onwards):

  • Diploma Pass with 25+ APS points
  • English (First Additional Language): Level 4
  • Mathematics: Level 3 OR Maths Literacy: Level 5
  • Life Sciences/Physical Science: Level 4
  • Life Orientation: Level 4 (not scored)
