Position 1: Judge’s Secretary (2 Posts)

Location: Western Cape High Court, Cape Town

Salary: R325,101 – R382,959 per annum (Level 07)

Key Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification (matric certificate)
  • Minimum 2 years secretarial experience
  • Legal/court environment experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license advantageous
  • Typing test required for shortlisted candidates

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal secretarial support to Judges
  • Manage court documentation including judgments and orders
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for circuit courts
  • Maintain accurate court records and statistics
  • Handle confidential legal correspondence and research

  • National Diploma in Labour Relations/HR Management/Law (NQF 6)
  • 2+ years Labour Relations experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR legislation

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee discipline and grievance procedures
  • Coordinate collective bargaining processes
  • Oversee employment equity compliance
  • Handle CCMA proceedings and dispute resolution
  • Maintain employee relations records system
