South African Air Force: 2022 Training Program

The South African Air Force has opened applications for the Military Skills Development System for its 2022 program. There is a General program as well as an income for people who want to train to be Engineers, Pilots and Navigators.

Successful candidates will receive full-time training for two years, during which they will receive additional military and functional training. The South African Air Force intends to train candidates to be highly trained and disciplined military professionals and patriotic citizens.

Requirements for: General training program

18-22 years: full grade 12 or N3 with 6 subjects, including two languages
or 22-26 years if you are in possession of a 3-year tertiary degree (degree, national diploma or N6 with N4 and N5 requirements)
RSA citizen (without dual citizenship)
Preferably single
Not delimited by area
No criminal record
Meet the physical fitness requirements for the SANDF appointment
Requirements for: pilots / navigators

Members with a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) no older than 24 years with Mathematics and Physical Sciences (Level 4)
or 22 – 26 years old if in possession of a relevant tertiary qualification (Title, Diploma N or prescriptions N4, N5, N6) completed Grade 12 with Level – 4 (Mathematics and Physical Sciences)
o 18-24 years: Completed grade 12 o N3 (technical) with 6 subjects of which two must be languages ​​at least Mathematics and Physical Sciences (Level – 4)
No hearing impairment (no hearing aid)
Have 6/6 eye vision (without contact lenses or corrective lenses or surgery)
Minimum height –1600 mm,
Maximum height: 1900 mm
Minimum weight: 53 kg;
Maximum weight: 102 kg
Requirements for: engineers

18-24 years: full 12th grade
or 22 – 26 years old if you are in possession of a relevant tertiary qualification (title, diploma N or prescriptions N4, N5, N6) and completed grade 12 with level 6 in mathematics and physical sciences
English Level-5
Admission Point Score (APS) of 35 excluding life orientation
Requirements for: technical trade

18 to 22 years Completed grade 12 or N3 with 6 subjects of which two must be languages
22 to 26 years old if in possession of N4, N5 and N6 (technical subjects) Mathematics and Physical Sciences minimum level 3
Please note: applicants must not have visible tattoos (forearm, neck and face)

Attach Certified Identity Document and CV with Qualifications
Declarations of results will not be accepted for those enrolled in 2019 and before.
Admission Point Score (APS) of 17, (excluding life orientation)
Applicants in possession of the National Diploma N (N4, N5 and N6) must attach all copies of the title.
Applicants must not have visible tattoos (forearm, neck and face)
