Position Summary: ThePosition Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company within the environmental services sector. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization in accordance with Waste Environmental rules, driving financial performance, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives and industry trends.Transform the organization and operation of the Finance office to best support the company’s development.Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and contribute to key decision-making processes.Financial Reporting and Analysis:At a strategic level, conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing insights to support informed decision-making.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, CAPEX reports and cash flow statements, and statutory financial statements with the objective of certification by the auditor.Meet Waste Environment’s Finance deadlines : monthly for controlling reporting and quarterly for consolidation conso pack, and any other financial information neededBudgeting and Forecasting:In close coordination with Waste Environment’s Finance division, lead the annual budgeting process (3 forecasts and a 3-years Business Plan) and collaborate with department heads to ensure realistic and achievable financial goals.Ensure the financial objectives are met by assisting the Operations manager in the definition of priorities and efforts.Monitor and update financial forecasts regularly, adapting strategies to changing market conditions.Risk Management:Assess and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure compliance with Minimum Control Standards of Waste Environment’ And meet Waste Environment’s Internal control deadlines.Cash Management:Optimize cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.Evaluate and implement efficient working capital management practices.With Waste Environment Corporate Treasury support, set up banking facilities to fund company short term & long-term CAPEX needs.Implement secured payment means.With Group Corporate Treasury support, set up banking facilities to fund company short term & long-term CAPEX needs.Compliance and Governance:Ensure compliance with Waste Environment’s rules, relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines.Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to address compliance issues and mitigate risks.Stakeholder Relations:Build strong relationships with Waste Environment’s divisions and key stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.Communicate financial performance and strategies effectively to internal and external audiences.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Financial Manager or in a senior financial leadership role in related industry.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field or MBA plus CIMA or CA is preferred.Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.Knowledge of waste management industry regulations, financial best practices, and market trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sharing any financial topic with the Corporate Finance to well anticipate the actions.Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and SAP Consolidation module is preferred.
