The Faircape Group constitutes a group of companies with interests in a number of activities including Healthcare, Retirement Holdings, Restaurant and Catering and related activities. We operate in 6 prime locations across the Western Cape and we are currently in search of a skilled and experienced Chef De Partie to join our  Restaurant and Catering team at our facility in the Southern Suburbs, Noordhoek Manor. (The facility is located just over ou Kaapse Weg)(Preference will be given to candidates residing within the Fish Hoek area)If you are an energetic chef with a creative flair and want to work for a well-established company, this is the ideal role for you!Responsibilities include, but not be limited:Meal Preparation and PresentationControl cooking of all food from preparation to presentationEnsure the meals are prepared correctly according to company specificationsEnsure that all necessary safety and health procedures are followed at all timesEnsure that you use the equipment correctly and safely Health and safetyEnsure you and your team maintain the highest possible food hygiene standards  Coffee ShopEnsure that the quality of café meals is of the highest standard Ensure that the café fridge is cleaned and all items labelled and dated as per company policyQualifications:Chef’s diploma / qualification from a registered tertiary education providerRequirements and Experience: Experience in food quality management and standardisationQuality orientatedAbility to follow all sanitation proceduresExcellent physical condition and staminaAbility to travel and relieve colleagues at other facilities when requiredSkills and Knowledge:Ability to follow sanitization proceduresExcellent communication skillsFocus on excellence and high-quality standardsExcellent food quality Strong knowledge of food handling proceduresKnowledge of various cooking and baking techniques and methodsKnowledge of health and safety requirements in a kitchen Specific Requirements:Clear health recordClear criminal recordClear credit recordContactable references Valid driver’s licence Working hours: You will be required to work 16.25 shifts per month, according to the roster, from 06h30 to 18h30, Monday to Sunday. Need to be flexible to accommodate the standby procedure of the company.Salary from R 12 000 Cost to Company per month.
