Position Summary

Eskom Distribution Division is looking for two YES Learners (Position/Task Grade: YY1) to join the Retail Department within the LimLanga Cluster. The successful candidates will be placed in Eskom Operations across South Africa.

About the Youth Employment Service (YES)

The YES initiative is a public‑private partnership led by the Presidency to tackle youth unemployment. Eskom is creating work opportunities for unemployed South African youth in line with BBBEE definitions. This is a life‑changing first work experience in the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Eskom Operations across all South African provinces.
• Participate in training and development programmes.
• Assist in day‑to‑day operational tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizen.
• Age 18 to 34.
• Grade 12 with maths or maths literacy.
• Proficient in English and at least one other South African official language.

Selection Criteria

• Not employed permanently with a single employer for more than one year.
• Not studying full time during the year of employment.
• Not previously registered on the YES initiative.

Additional Information

Applicants will undergo a recruitment process. Successful candidates will receive a 12‑month contract to work in Eskom Operations across all provinces.
