Role Outline
This role provides daily support, including handling system issues, answering user questions, and testing application changes to ensure top performance. It assists all departments and sites with systems and procedures, offers training on the warehouse system, and helps make DHL a great place to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with Cluster Business Unit teams.
- Contribute to IT projects from planning to successful completion.
- Communicate with the WMOS & Training Specialist to meet project plans and timelines.
- Escalate any project or implementation issues.
- Support product management for new business initiatives.
- Establish productive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Compile and submit training reports on time.
- Develop and update training materials with new information.
- Schedule and deliver training based on operations needs.
- Demonstrate best practices to trainees.
- Drive cost savings through efficient use of warehouse systems.
- Identify and reduce warehouse system risks.
- Support change initiatives for new system implementations.
- Lead user acceptance testing with sites and clients.
- Assist the WMOS & Training Specialist with delivery preparation, post-delivery reports, and training for new system roll-outs.
- Handle other duties assigned by the WMOS & Training Specialist, such as scheduling sessions and confirming attendance.
- Support people management and development activities.
- Facilitate module objectives while following the Systems Training Framework, including managing attendance, assessments, certifications, and reports.
Qualifications / Skills / Competencies / Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- 3 – 4 years of administration experience
- 1 – 2 years of logistics or warehousing experience
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability to a fast-changing environment
- Deadline-driven mindset
- Good written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including hazard identification
- Commitment to meeting targets and taking on extra responsibilities
- Computer literacy
