Job Description

The Administration Clerk will support the Patient Revenue department by managing billing, debt collection, and financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Tracing and confirming debtor addresses
  • Submitting accounts to self‑funded debtors
  • Referring debts to external service providers or the State Attorney
  • Billing all patients and writing off unrecoverable debts
  • Completing UPFS charge sheets for H3 and externally funded patients
  • Verifying invoices on HIS and closing them when correct
  • Compiling monthly inpatient and outpatient billing monitoring reports
  • Drawing patient files that were not billed and billing them accordingly
  • Rotating with the Main Cashier as required and performing cashier duties when necessary

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • At least one year of experience in an Accounts/Revenue department
  • Knowledge of SAP, HIS, and BAS systems is an advantage
  • Computer literacy and strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure and rotate to other sections of the Patient Revenue department when needed
  • Knowledge of customer care and Batho Pele Principles
