Description:

A mining company in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Winding Engine Driver to ensure the safe and efficient operation of winder systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all operations.
  • Promote a zero-harm culture by following safety procedures and company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of winder installations as required by law and operations.
  • Participate in shift handovers to ensure clear communication and safe task execution.
  • Careful operation and maintenance of winders following set guidelines.
  • Ensure safe shaft transportation of personnel, materials, and ore.
  • Maintain quality control standards for efficient operations.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • 5 years’ experience as a Winding Engine Driver in mining (gold preferred)
  • Extensive underground experience
  • Winding Engine Driver’s Certificate of Competency
  • Onsetter Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License
