Murray & Roberts, a leading multinational project lifecycle group, is seeking a qualified Winding Engine Driver to join their team in Limpopo.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Operate winders safely and effectively in compliance with regulations and safety protocols
• Maintain and sign the WED log book per shift
• Ensure the Winding Engine is safe for operations and report any defects
• Stop operations when unsafe conditions arise
• Transport people, equipment, and materials safely
• Respond to standard and special signal codes
• Perform basic maintenance and assist in emergencies
• Comply with safety regulations and company standards
• Engage with stakeholders for smooth workflows
• Identify and mitigate risks effectively
• Self-manage in alignment with company values

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Valid Winding Engine Driver Full Certificate of Competency
• Onsetter Certificate
• Basic SCADA/HMI proficiency
• Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Good English communication skills

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years in shaft sinking operations as a Winding Engine Driver
• Experience with slinging large equipment in shafts
• Experience in shaft examination and repairs
• Experience with kibble winder, stage winder, and double drum winders
• Experience with AC and DC drives
• Basic knowledge of winding equipment maintenance
