This role focuses on providing excellent service to customers. You will offer knowledgeable advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplements to boost sales and build customer loyalty.

Job Description

Key Objectives:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by being visible in the store and proactive in meeting customer needs. Use your knowledge of health and supplements to assist effectively.
  • Consult with customers and recommend suitable healthcare, nutritional, and supplement products.
  • Increase healthcare sales to meet targets by promoting various brands through cross-selling and upselling to improve profitability.
  • Ensure stock is always available in the healthcare aisles by following stock management guidelines to support sales.
  • Avoid wastage by applying stock rotation principles in your area.
  • Minimize stock losses by adhering to all risk management policies.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the store to create a welcoming shopping environment.
  • Follow merchandising guidelines to display products attractively.
  • Comply with all store standard operating procedures.
  • Support team continuity by developing your skills, gaining product knowledge, and sharing information with relief staff.

Knowledge Required:

  • Desirable: Basic knowledge of health, fitness, and supplements.
  • Essential: Basic understanding of retail operations, including stock management, merchandising, and risk management.

Skills Required:

  • Essential: Strong communication and interaction skills; customer service orientation; selling skills; merchandising skills.
  • Desirable: Basic computer literacy.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

Essential:

  • At least 1 year of related experience.
  • Selling skills and customer-related training.

Desirable:

  • Experience with sports nutrition and vitamin products.

Education:

  • Essential: Matric (50% in English, 50% in Maths or 60% in Maths Literacy, and a pass in Physical Science or Life Science).
  • Desirable: Qualification in sports, fitness, or nutrition.
