About the Programme

This 12‑month Professional Learnership Programme is designed to develop entry‑level professionals in Facilities Management and HVAC. It combines classroom learning, hands‑on training, and supervised workplace experience. The programme is aligned with the QCTO Occupational Qualification 103269.

Key Learning Outcomes

• Understand HVAC principles and system fundamentals
• Install and commission unitary HVAC systems
• Apply Occupational Health and Safety practices, including working at heights
• Develop basic electrical and mechanical skills
• Use tools and identify faults effectively
• Demonstrate workplace professionalism and compliance

Requirements

• Minimum NQF Level 4, 5, or 6 qualification, or Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (compulsory)
• Age 18–34 years
• Good physical health suitable for site‑based technical work
• Medically fit, including ability to work at heights (training provided)
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Willingness to learn and work with tools and equipment
• Physical ability to work in plant rooms, rooftops, and construction environments
• Ability to follow safety rules and technical instructions

Certification

All training and assessment are conducted in accordance with QCTO requirements. Only learners who successfully complete the training, assessment, workplace experience, and medical fitness checks will receive certification.
