Job Summary:

• An opportunity is available for a skilled Ultra-heavy motor vehicle driver to deliver goods to various client sites.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification
• Code EC driver’s license with valid PrDP (DGP)
• At least 3 years of experience driving Ultra Heavy Vehicles
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of defensive driving techniques
• Understanding of vehicle component functions and locations
• Familiarity with emergency and defect reporting procedures
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and use a fire extinguisher
• Focus on vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Understanding of vehicle loading techniques
• Tanker experience (preferably foodgrade)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate Ultra heavy-duty vehicles for trips
• Load, transport, and offload goods
• Handle necessary documentation and perform additional duties as required
• Follow all reasonable instructions from the Supervisor
• Be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Maintain a clean criminal record and safe driving record
• Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, uniforms, and PPE

Additional Requirements:

• Pass a medical evaluation
• Complete USCS training modules
• Undergo induction processes
• Pass a practical driving evaluation
• Provide a clean criminal record verification
• Ensure the vehicle is not overloaded as per the National Road Traffic Act
• Oversee or operate offloading equipment during offloading
• Secure the load before departure
• Handle tarpaulins (opening and closing) where necessary
• Interact with customers professionally and efficiently
