Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and experienced Code 14 Driver to join our team based in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating ultra-heavy vehicles and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Valid Code EC driver’s license with PrDP
- 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
- 3 years of experience driving Superlink/Interlink/combination vehicles
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
- Proficiency in defensive driving techniques
- Knowledge of emergency reporting procedures and vehicle inspections
- Ability to maximize vehicle efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Familiarity with vehicle loading and offloading techniques
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Clean criminal record
- Medical fitness
Key Responsibilities
- Operate ultra-heavy duty vehicles safely and efficiently
- Load, transport, and offload goods
- Handle all necessary documentation
- Perform additional tasks as required by the Supervisor
- Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Upkeep of vehicle, uniform, and PPE
- Adhere to SOPs and safety procedures
Additional Requirements
- Pass a medical evaluation
- Complete USCS training modules
- Undergo induction processes
- Pass a practical driving evaluation
- Provide a clean criminal record verification
