Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Code 14 Driver to join our team in Free State. The successful candidate will operate ultra-heavy vehicles and contribute to efficient logistics operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certification
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license with PrDP
- 3+ years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
- 3+ years of experience with Superlink/Interlink/combination vehicles
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
- Knowledge of defensive driving techniques
- Familiarity with emergency and defect reporting procedures
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and operate fire extinguishers
- Efficient vehicle loading and offloading skills
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Clean criminal record
- Medical fitness
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate ultra-heavy vehicles for trips
- Transport goods safely and efficiently
- Handle documentation and related tasks
- Perform duties as instructed by supervisors
- Work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Maintain a clean driving record and criminal history
- Keep vehicles, uniforms, and PPE in good condition
- Adhere to SOPs and safety procedures
- Complete medical evaluations, training modules, and induction processes
- Pass practical driving evaluations
- Undergo criminal record verification
