Triton Express: Cross Border Driver 5T/8T Jobs

A Cross Border Driver position is now available at Triton Express in Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribute and collect clients’ cargo.
• Assist with loading and offloading cargo from the vehicle.
• Collect and complete daily collection and delivery sheets if needed.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Report any vehicle faults as required.
• Handle clients’ cargo with care during loading and offloading.
• Verify that delivery and collection addresses are correct.
• Maintain constant contact with the depot.
• Do not deviate from delivery or collection sheets without authorization.
• Liaise with customs officials.
• Assist in presenting cargo for customs inspections.
• Exercise patience and respect when dealing with customs officials and authorities.
• Keep all documents secure and hand them over to the receiving branch.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) minimum.
• 1-2 years of driving experience.
• Valid unendorsed Code 10 driver’s license.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Good knowledge of the Johannesburg area.
• Valid passport.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
• Good communication skills, internally and externally.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet client requirements.
• Reliable and punctual.
• High level of integrity.
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Own transport to and from work.
• Linehaul departures must be on time.
