Triton Express: Cross Border Driver 5T/8T (Gauteng)

A position for a Cross Border Driver is available at Triton Express in Johannesburg.

Main Duties:

  • Distribute and collect clients’ cargo.
  • Help with loading and offloading cargo from the vehicle.
  • Collect and complete daily collection and delivery sheets if needed.
  • Perform daily pre-trip inspection of the vehicle.
  • Report vehicle faults when required.
  • Take care when loading and offloading clients’ cargo.
  • Ensure delivery and collection addresses are correct.
  • Keep in contact with the depot at all times.
  • Do not deviate from delivery or collection sheets without authorization.
  • Liaise with customs officials.
  • Assist with presenting cargo at customs for inspection.
  • Show patience with customs officials and always communicate with authorities respectfully.
  • Keep all documents secure and hand them over to the receiving branch.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) minimum.
  • 1-2 years of driving experience.
  • Valid unendorsed Code 10 driver’s license.
  • Valid PDP.
  • Good knowledge of the Johannesburg area.
  • Valid passport.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work overtime as required by clients.
  • Reliable.
  • High degree of integrity.
  • Presentable and professional at all times.
  • Own transport to and from work.
  • Punctual, with linehaul departures on time.
