The Coega Development Corporation (CDC) is a state-owned entity established in 1999 to develop and manage the Coega Industrial Development Zone adjacent to Port of Ngqura. We facilitate international investment partnerships across multiple sectors.

Key Requirements:

  • National Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Training & Development
  • Welding Trade Test Certification
  • Valid SETA registration as Facilitator, Assessor & Moderator
  • 5+ years post-qualification industry experience
  • 3+ years welding instruction experience

Core Responsibilities:

Training Delivery & Management:

  • Develop curriculum materials and conduct training sessions
  • Oversee learner recruitment and assessment processes
  • Manage workshop equipment maintenance and safety protocols
  • Coordinate learner placements with host employers

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct workplace monitoring visits
  • Track training program effectiveness
  • Prepare detailed progress reports
  • Ensure compliance with SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) standards

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven ability to maintain learner discipline
  • Strong mentorship capabilities
  • Inventory management skills
  • Proficiency in workplace safety regulations
