Job Title: Tractor Driver (Roodeplaat)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tractors with various implements such as bush cutter, slasher, and spraying machine.
• Prepare soil accurately and efficiently.
• Safely transport workers, farm produce, fertilizers, and equipment.
• Perform tasks like pruning, suckering, and canopy management for fruit trees and vineyards.
• Maintain tractors, implements, irrigation, and trellis systems.
• Report defects or breakages on machinery.
• Manage time effectively for individual and team tasks.
• Keep records of daily work, diesel usage, and spraying programs.
• Assist with general farm activities.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience operating tractors.
• Matric/Grade 12 is an advantage.
• Understanding of farm operations and crop cycles.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong reading and writing abilities.
• A valid driver’s license (Code B) is advantageous.
• Willingness to take a competency test during the hiring process.
