Job Description

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is seeking a skilled and experienced Tractor Driver to join their team in Nelspruit. As a tractor driver, you will play a key role in supporting farm operations and ensuring the efficient use of agricultural equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor with various implements, including bush cutters, slashers, and spraying machines.
• Ensure accurate and timely soil cultivation, done in a professional manner.
• Transport farm produce, fertilizers, and equipment safely.
• Perform basic maintenance of the tractor and implements.
• Manage time effectively to complete individual and team tasks.
• Maintain records of daily activities, diesel usage, and spraying programs.
• Assist with general farm duties as assigned by the line manager.
• Adhere to all OHSE Act requirements.

Requirements

• Grade 10 with 1-3 years of tractor driving experience.
• Grade 12 with tractor driving experience is an added advantage.
• Good reading and writing skills.
• Valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s license.
• Willingness to complete a tractor driving competency test during the interview process.
