What the Bursary Covers

• Full tuition fees

• Monthly allowance from the first semester of 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in vacation work at a Tharisa mine at the end of each year.
• After graduation, work as a graduate intern with Tharisa Minerals for at least one year.

Eligibility Requirements

• South African citizenship only.
• Minimum 60 % pass rate in Mathematics and Physical Science on the National Senior Certificate.
• Current enrolment in one of the listed disciplines.
• Full academic record from the tertiary institution.
• Preference for applicants from local communities or labour‑sending areas.
• Applicants currently receiving another bursary or sponsorship will not be considered.
