Position Summary:

Conduct specialist testing, maintain laboratory excellence, and support quality management systems in our Fluid Technology and Alternative Energy division.

Key Requirements:

• ◼ National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (NQF 6)
• ◼ Valid Technical Signatory status (essential)
• ◼ 3+ years’ mechanical engineering experience
• ◼ Hands-on experience with SANS Fluid Technology lab systems
• ◼ Working knowledge of SANAS/ISO accreditation standards

Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Reporting:

• • Execute manual/automated test procedures
• • Analyze and verify test result accuracy
• • Prepare comprehensive technical reports
• • Conduct witness testing demonstrations

Equipment Management:

• • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
• • Troubleshoot technical issues
• • Manage asset documentation

Quality Assurance:

• • Implement ISO-compliant procedures
• • Support internal audit processes
• • Develop new testing methodologies

Compliance & Risk:

• • Adhere to OHS regulations
• • Maintain safety protocols
• • Implement risk mitigation measures

Stakeholder Engagement:

• • Provide technical consultancy
• • Train junior staff members
• • Participate in industry committees
