Job Description

The role supports the creditors department by handling routine clerical and accounting tasks. This includes validating and verifying payments to suppliers. You will ensure that all relevant documents are gathered and entered following set procedures. The position also involves reconciling accounts on a monthly basis.

Required Skills

  • An accounting degree or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in a financial role is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of BPCS is beneficial.
  • A resilient person with strong interpersonal skills and clear communication.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of processing import creditors is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate, especially in MS Office, Word, and Excel.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform three-way matching and process invoices.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and prepare documents for creditor payments.
  • Follow up on account queries by communicating with factory/head office staff and vendors.
  • Assist in the month-end process, including preparing and posting journals.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for selected accounts.
  • Handle ad hoc financial reporting requests and tasks as needed.
