Position: Technical Driver and Lifting Operator Trainer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective training sessions using relevant materials and well-maintained equipment.
  • Engage learners by tailoring content to their skill levels, addressing barriers like language and cultural differences.
  • Conduct training in line with SAQA, SETA, and NOSA standards, following Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines.
  • Assess and moderate learners as per SETA/NOSA Code of Conduct.
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners confidentially.
  • Manage Portfolios of Evidence securely and maintain confidentiality.
  • Promote additional NOSA training programs when possible.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support clients with training projects, resolving queries efficiently.
  • Stay updated on industry trends through ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain valid assessor and moderator registrations with relevant SETAs.
  • Adhere to NOSA Quality Management System standards.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in driver training, preferably in heavy vehicle operations.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in transport, logistics, or a related field.
  • Registered and valid TETA-accredited Facilitator and Assessor certification (compulsory).
  • Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with PrDP.
  • Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written), additional languages advantageous.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Preference for employment equity candidates.
