SafetySA: Technical Driver and Lifting Operator Trainer (Full Time)
SafetySA is a leading provider of Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC), and Training solutions in Africa and the Middle East, specializing in food safety and workplace safety. The company was formed after the acquisition of the NOSA Group by the Carlyle Sub-Saharan Africa Fund in 2018.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective training sessions using relevant materials and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Create engaging training sessions tailored to the audience’s skill level and address learning barriers such as language or cultural differences.
- Conduct training in line with SAQA, SETA, and NOSA standards, following Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines.
- Assess learners and provide constructive feedback according to SETA and NOSA protocols.
- Prepare and manage Portfolios of Evidence securely and confidentially.
- Recommend additional NOSA training programs to clients when appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through professional interactions.
- Assist clients with training projects and resolve queries efficiently to ensure high client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and safety standards through ongoing professional development.
- Maintain valid assessor and moderator registrations with relevant SETAs.
- Adhere to NOSA Quality Management System standards strictly.
Key Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate required.
- Minimum of 2 years in driver training, preferably with expertise in heavy vehicle operations.
- 3+ years of experience in transport, logistics, or a related field.
- Valid TETA-accredited Facilitator and Assessor certification.
- Code 14 (EC) driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Own a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel to client sites.
- Proficient in English; additional language fluency is a plus.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
